Lincoln Families,
Welcome to the Home of the Lions! We can’t wait for you to hear us R.O.A.R. as we embark on the 2023-2024 school year. I hope you and your family had a safe and healthy summer, making memories and soaking up every minute of vacation. I know we have missed our students and are excited to see all of our R.O.A.R’ing Lions back on-campus.
For those of you new to Lincoln, my name is Cynthia Pursell and I am honored to serve our community as the Principal of Lincoln Elementary. This school year will mark my 11th year at Lincoln, as I served as the Learning Director for 6 years prior to becoming Principal in the 19-20 school year. Throughout my time here, I can say wholeheartedly that our staff truly loves, cares and wants nothing but the best for our students. We are committed to providing our Lions with a safe, positive and high-quality learning experience that will help them grow academically. We can’t wait for you to hear them R.O.A.R!
This year we have a couple of new members to the Lincoln Elementary staff. Please help me welcome:
- Samantha Wolfe, Learning Director
- Antonio Martin, School Psychologist
- Karina Escobedo, 1st Grade Teacher
-Kristine Gonzales- RSP Teacher
-Jasmine MacDonald- SDC Teacher
-Lindsey Bentley- Band Teacher
-Teresa Cordova- SDC Aide
-Hailey Belton- READY Tutor
At Lincoln, our staff and students are striving to live by R.O.A.R. each and every day. We are committed to being Respectful, being On-task, being an Achiever, and being Responsible in and outside of the classroom. Through R.O.A.R. we show our Lincoln Lion pride and strive to do our very best.
As parents, you can help your child be successful and R.O.A.R. by ensuring that they are developing healthy habits around school. Ensure that your child is attending school every day, ask them about what they learned daily, and ensure that your child is completing all their assignments. If you have any questions on the classroom material or assignments, remember, you can always reach out to your child’s teacher via ParentSquare. We are always here to help.
This year, you’ll notice there will be a lot of talk around attendance! We have a school goal of 98% attendance, each and every day! Please make sure to prioritize your children coming to school, every day, on time. This is a team effort, and we can’t do it without the support of our families. Let’s work together in ensuring are Lions are present to learn!
On behalf of the Lincoln teachers and staff…Welcome Back!
Your Proud Principal,
Cynthia Pursell
