Principal's Message

Lincoln Families,

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year. My name is Cynthia Pursell and I am the Principal of Lincoln Elementary. I hope you and your family had a safe and healthy summer. I have missed seeing all of our Lions and hope you are all doing well. Although we are not starting the school year as we had expected, know that during this time of Distance Learning, we are here to support you and your families. We know this is very different than the traditional school setting and we are here to work with and support you and your Lions. We are committed to providing our Lions with High Quality Distance Learning that will help them grow academically. Now more than ever we need to work together to ensure that our Lions thrive during this time and can reach their highest potential, even at a distance. It will take patience, and perseverance, but together we can do this!

This year we have a couple of new members to the Lincoln Elementary staff. Please help me welcome:

- Angela Protzman, Learning Director
- Samantha Javaux, 5th Grade
- Lisa Eastman, 6th Grade

At Lincoln, our staff and students are striving to live by R.O.A.R. each and every day. We are committed to being Respectful, being On-task, being an Achiever, and being Responsible in and outside of the classroom. Through R.O.A.R. we show our Lincoln Lion pride and strive to do our very best. We will continue to R.O.A.R. throughout Distance Learning.

As parents, you can help your child be successful and R.O.A.R. by ensuring that they are developing healthy habits around school. Ensure that your child is attending and logging in to their Distance Learning sessions. Good attendance and academic success go hand in hand. Also, ensure that your child is completing all their virtual assignments and utilizing our supplemental online resources to help support their learning.

We look forward to being back at school in-person, but until that time is possible, we will R.O.A.R. like Lions during Distance Learning! Thank you for your ongoing support and please don’t hesitate to contact us if we can be of any assistance. Feel free to call, email, or message us on REMIND.

Sincerely,

Cynthia Pursell
Principal
